As you may have heard, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) is on strike as of November 15, 2024. For the duration of the strike, no mail will be delivered and no new mail will be processed.
What does this mean for you as a retired member?
If you receive any correspondence by mail from the College Pension Plan, like your annual benefit statements, pension payments or Pension Life, you will experience delays.
Your plan will continue to serve you online during this disruption. Members can set up direct deposit and access their annual benefit statements within My Account, read Pension Life and access pension-related information on the plan’s website.
If you have questions about your pension, call 1-866-876-6677 or visit college.pensionsbc.ca/.
What does this mean for Green Shield Canada benefits?
To avoid delays Green Shield encourages you to register for online services and set up direct deposit. If you have questions about your post-retirement group benefits, contact GreenShield directly at 1-888-525-7587.
Other Delays
Due to the mail disruption, delivery of your T4A tax slip and annual statement from the College Pension Plan could be delayed this year. To find out more information, register for My Account or opt-in for digital distribution visit the College Pension Plan website (college.pensionsbc.ca).
